The Role

As an Operations Manager at our Manukau City branch, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. This includes organizing staff, monitoring machinery, supporting production, managing stock levels, assisting with dispatch, and ensuring a consistently high level of service. Collaboration with internal departments such as the trade yard, sales support, dispatch, design, and manufacturing teams will be essential to maintain operational efficiency and output consistency.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate strong management and leadership skills, possess a common-sense approach, and excel in communication. In addition, we are looking for someone with: - Experience in the building/construction industry, particularly in sawmilling, timber operations, or frame & truss fabrication - Excellent interpersonal and planning abilities - Proven experience in proactive maintenance of plant, machinery, and equipment - Knowledge of stock turnover processes - Familiarity with forklifts, trucks, and cranes - A practical, solutions-focused mindset - Comfortability with technology
