Role Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships with clients
- Provide intentional peer support including mobile outreach, individual sessions, and group facilitation
- Support individuals and their whanau in their recovery and wellness journey
Requirements:
- Ability to connect authentically with clients while maintaining boundaries
- Strong oral and written communication skills and computer literacy
- Commitment to reflecting Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Māori principles
- Understanding of Peer Support recovery/wellness approaches in AOD services
- Experience in group facilitation or willingness to learn
- Innovative and creative problem-solving skills
- Team player with a passion for supporting people

Qualifications and Skills:
- Completed or studying towards a Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing
- Lived experience of recovery from alcohol and/or drug issues and abstinent for at least 2 years
- Current clean, full driver's license
- Ministry of Justice and Police clearances
- Right to work in New Zealand
