About the Role

As a Residential Youth Worker, your responsibilities will include coaching rangatahi through daily activities, providing support in various life skills, participating in recreational activities, and mentoring young individuals to make positive choices. You will also build rapport with those who have experienced trauma and assist in redirecting behaviors, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

What You Will Bring

For this role, we are looking for individuals with a full, clean, valid driver's license, resilience, empathy, and a proactive approach. You should have experience working with young people, sound judgment, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of tikanga Māori and te reo Māori. A background in psychology, social sciences, social work, sports, music, arts, or teaching would be advantageous.

The annual remuneration for this position ranges from $62,366 to $76,000, including penal rates.
