Are you a hard-working and capable individual with a passion for problem-solving and improving things? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Arahoe School is seeking a friendly and motivated School Caretaker / Handy Person to join our team full-time.

About the Role:

As a School Caretaker / Handy Person, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day property tasks, security, and upkeep of the school grounds. This includes tasks such as mowing, spraying, pruning, minor repairs, and building maintenance. You will also be in charge of liaising with contractors for specialized work and overseeing existing cleaning and groundskeeping staff.

Requirements:

• Well-organised and self-managing
• Ability to problem-solve effectively
• Interest in working outdoors
• Computer literate for communication purposes
• Positive and appropriate interaction with students, families, and staff
• Ability to work collaboratively and take pride in your work
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa
• Tri-annual police vetting required

Benefits:
