The Opportunity

In this role, you will work alongside brilliant scientists and researchers in Auckland Council's Research and Evaluation unit (RIMU). Your responsibilities will include conducting geospatial analysis to identify areas vulnerable to climate change, participating in research programs to understand carbon sequestration potential, and developing mapping approaches for marine and coastal habitats.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant scientific discipline and proven experience as an applied environmental scientist. Proficiency in GIS for spatial analysis, remote sensing applications, and quantitative statistical analysis are essential for success in this role. Additionally, strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are highly valued.
