Overview

Kiwibank is seeking a strategic expert on climate change to join their Sustainable Finance team in a newly created role. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping how Kiwibank manages climate change risks across their customer portfolios. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to building a more sustainable and resilient Aotearoa by integrating climate risk into everyday decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be the go-to person for climate-related matters within the bank, developing and implementing strategies to manage associated risks. Reporting to the Head of Sustainable Finance, you will have the opportunity to lead initiatives that align with Kiwibank's purpose-led and customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in ESG, climate change, sustainability, risk, or sustainable finance
  • Research and analysis expertise, particularly in ESG, climate change, regulatory, or financial domains
  • Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate various solutions and approaches effectively
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting abilities
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
