About the Opportunity

As a Senior Portfolio Manager with Smartshares, you will be responsible for managing income-oriented portfolios. This role involves day-to-day portfolio management, direct security investments for domestic asset classes, oversight of externally managed funds, and co-leading a team of portfolio managers and analysts. You will work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and have key responsibilities including managing the portfolio using a systematic approach, monitoring funds' risk and performance, and maintaining a public profile as a leading investment professional.

Requirements for Success

To be successful in this role, you should have at least five years of experience in managing or dealing in NZ fixed income and cash markets, a minimum of ten years' experience in the investment industry, a relevant degree, and CFA or postgraduate equivalent. You should be able to make an active and positive contribution to the investment team and the wider Smartshares teams.
