Overview

Auckland Transport (AT) is on a mission to develop transport infrastructure and solutions that create safe and accessible communities in Auckland. As a Senior Project Manager at AT, you will play a crucial role in shaping Auckland's transport network by leading high-priority programmes and projects that aim to deliver a better, faster, and safer transport system for the community.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with an experienced programme manager to deliver public transport routes and infrastructure
  • Manage construction, detailed design, stakeholder engagement, procurement, and engineering contracts
  • Lead project teams to achieve AT business objectives
  • Oversee tender processes, procurement strategies, and governance arrangements
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders
  • Ensure project strategies incorporate workplace safety and promote continuous improvement
  • Provide coaching to junior project members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or project management
  • Eight years of post-graduate experience in engineering or project management
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite
  • Desired qualifications include PMP or PRINCE2 certification
