About the Job

A full-time permanent position is available in Manukau, Auckland, for a Support Worker to join the Pathways Health and Wellbeing team. Pathways is a leading mental health and addiction service in Aotearoa, prioritizing mental health and overall well-being to help individuals live fulfilling lives in their communities. The team provides personalized support through healthy lifestyle choices, group events, and activities.

Your Role

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include supporting individuals with mental health challenges to manage their well-being, planning regional events, and managing a one-on-one caseload. You will need a current NZ full driver's license, first aid certificate, and the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognized equivalent. Experience working with Te Ao Maori and strong knowledge of the Auckland Health and Social Services sectors are essential.

Requirements

  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or recognized equivalent
  • Experience working with Te Ao Maori
  • Strong knowledge of the Auckland Health and Social Services sectors
  • Resilient and compassionate attitude
  • Effective communication and rapport-building skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Great documentation skills
  • Tech-savvy
