The Role:

As a Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing water and wastewater treatment systems for private and public projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that help shape existing and future communities while improving the overall quality of water-related resources within Aotearoa.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate, design, and develop water/wastewater treatment systems and processes
  • Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify optimal treatment solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to wastewater treatment processes
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies across multiple projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in New Zealand Water and Wastewater treatment engineering
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand Water/Wastewater treatment regulations, standards, codes, and best practices
  • Proficiency in Water/Wastewater treatment design software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM, AutoCAD, SCADA, MIKE, HEC-RAS/HMS)
  • Strong English language skills (written and verbal)
