About the Organization and Role

Youth Search and Rescue (YSAR) is a values-based organization focused on training the next generation of Search and Rescue and Emergency Management volunteers. Established in 2005, YSAR operates across 7 branches nationwide with a key strategy of growth. The newly created Branch Support Specialist roles aim to provide support to YSAR as it scales and supports rangatahi, volunteers, instructors, and whānau.

Role Responsibilities

Branch Support: Provide proactive support to branches, build relationships, onboard new volunteers, and ensure sustainability.

Sector Partner Management: Maintain relationships with sector partners, support collaboration, and facilitate pathways for students.

Administrative Excellence: Ensure internal and external deadlines are met, compliance needs are fulfilled, and program delivery runs smoothly.

Additional Details

The roles report to the National Operations Manager and are remote positions based in the South Island (preferably Christchurch) and the North Island (preferably Bay of Plenty or Waikato). Full-time roles with flexibility for evening and weekend work, domestic travel, and overnight stays may be required.
