The Manahautū/CEO position at Te Puawaitanga involves strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of health and social services to Māori communities in Ngāi Tahu rohe. Who We Are

Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust is a kaupapa Māori community-based organization founded in 2005. The Trust upholds Te Tiriti o Waitangi, focusing on promoting whānau ora for Māori whānau. Services provided include health, education, justice, and social support, ensuring whānau well-being throughout all stages of life.

About The Role

The Manahautū/CEO will lead strategic initiatives, manage Crown contracts, and engage with stakeholders to improve outcomes for Māori communities. The role requires visionary leadership, advocacy skills, financial management expertise, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Requirements and Qualities

The ideal candidate will have experience in Kaupapa Māori settings, proven leadership skills, knowledge of health and social services sectors, and a strong understanding of Te Ao Māori. Key qualities include strategic thinking, communication skills, people leadership, and the ability to drive organizational change.
