Position Overview
This dual leadership role involves reporting directly to the Party President and leading a small team at the Newmarket Auckland location. The successful candidate will serve as the Party Secretary as outlined in the Electoral Act and the Party's constitution, and also fulfill the duties of a General Manager for the national office.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Electoral Act and other relevant legislation
- Meet all constitutional requirements expected of the PSGM, Board, Council, and Executive Committee
- Lead the small team, sit on the Governing Board and Council, and support stakeholders in governance, compliance, superintendence, strategy, and organizational performance
- Establish systems and infrastructure to enhance the Party's value to donors, members, activists, candidates, and MPs
- Create comprehensive annual budgets and financial projections
- Engage with stakeholders effectively and exhibit emotional intelligence
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- C-level financial numeracy
- Stakeholder engagement expertise
- Experience in membership-based or volunteer-led organizations
- Proven track record of working with donors
- Passion for the purpose, values, and mission of ACT New Zealand
