Responsibilities and Qualifications

About You:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a civil estimator in New Zealand, ideally in roading and contracting
• Expertise in electronic tendering systems such as CCs candy, cost x, or similar (candy experience is desirable)
• Ability to prepare quantity takeoffs accurately and efficiently
• Capable of submitting documentation promptly and accurately
• Experience in working on multiple tenders and communicating with clients as needed
• Skilled in resolving client issues and offering optimal solutions
• Self-managed and proactive team player with excellent communication skills

About the Role:

• Participate in tender management and business development activities
• Estimate project costs by researching and compiling relevant details
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors on cost estimates
• Contribute to estimating policies, compile reports, and assist in developing future guidelines
• Determine project scope and contents by preparing bid quantities and items
