About the Role

Premier Diverse is seeking an Operations Safety Manager for the NSW/ACT regions to ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety & Environment Systems strategies. Reporting to the National General Manager of People and HSE, the role focuses on promoting a culture of HSE within the organization and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards. Responsibilities include providing technical direction, implementing HSE strategies, overseeing investigations, and offering specialist advice during project planning and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and support to develop an HSE-focused culture
• Implement HSE strategies, systems, and initiatives in the region
• Collaborate to ensure consistency in HSE management systems
• Oversee rehabilitation and return-to-work activities
• Ensure robust HSE risk management processes
• Provide governance over HSE systems implementation
• Offer specialist HSE advice during project phases
• Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
• Communicate HSE matters to management and staff
• Review high-risk planned works for compliance

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines
• Postgraduate qualifications in Safety, Environment, or related fields
• HSE Practitioner with 7+ years of experience
• Generalist Quality Management experience
• Knowledge of Audit Management practices
• Experience in project system implementation
• Skills in monitoring, investigative review, and reporting
• Proficiency in Safety and Environmental Management Systems
