Overview

Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity? Our client, a leading global cost consultancy, is seeking a skilled individual to join their team in Auckland. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of projects and the chance to build long-term relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing cost consultancy services to clients in Auckland and across New Zealand. Your tasks will include estimating, cost planning, risk management, measuring, and post-contract administration. You will need to have extensive pre and post contract experience, from tendering to claims, and possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a background of working predominantly for a professional quantity surveying company, with experience in construction quantity surveying being beneficial. While Chartered QS status (RICS or NZIQS) is preferred, it is not essential. Large scale commercial development experience is a must, along with a thorough knowledge of various processes such as procurement options, evaluation of tenders, claims and schedules, financial reporting, programming, construction techniques, and insurance. Excellent IT skills and experience with estimating software are also required.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of NZ$130-140k per year, plus benefits. The company may assist with relocation and visa costs for the right candidate.
