Job Description

The company is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their team and play a crucial role in the commercial management function. Reporting to a commercial director and working collaboratively within a team, the Senior QS will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

• Scheduling and estimating
• Preparing and analyzing tenders
• Creating bills of quantities
• Managing costs
• Processing progress claims and assessing variations
• Overseeing subcontractors
• Mentoring and managing team members, including Junior QS's

Requirements for the Role

To excel in this position, the successful candidate should meet the following key criteria:

• A tertiary qualification in construction management or quantity surveying
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a Senior QS within a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of the local construction market, commercial construction legislation, and rates
• Helpful demeanor, strong ethical standards, and a high work ethic
• Desire to advance your career and excellent written and oral communication skills

Remuneration and Benefits

The salary offered for this role ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 per year, in addition to full use of a company vehicle and a fuel card. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a Senior QS looking to progress into a commercial management role within a positive and collaborative work environment.
