Role Overview

In this role, you will manage a client base of wahine, receiving referrals from the Police, Whanau, and self-referrals. Your responsibilities will involve working closely with wahine in the community and Safe Houses, addressing their needs and connecting them with external services. Collaboration with various agencies, triaging, interventions, case management, assessment, and review will be key aspects of the role.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess a New Zealand Social Work qualification or a relevant degree. Previous experience in domestic violence or whānau violence work is essential. Strong relationship-building, community networking, written, and oral communication skills are highly valued. A warm and empathetic personality will enable you to connect effectively with the individuals you will be supporting.
