Role Overview

Monument is currently seeking a talented individual with proven commercial underwriting experience to join their team in Auckland Central Office. The ideal candidate will work alongside a team of commercial underwriters, collaborating with Brokers to deliver the best customer-focused underwriting solutions to their SMARTpak clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Underwrite new and renewal business within designated authority limits - Determine effective solutions based on customer requirements and risk levels - Assist in developing underwriting standards and conducting peer reviews - Achieve planned underwriting results for new and existing business - Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers - Collaborate with the Underwriting team to share knowledge and tasks

Skills and Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of commercial underwriting experience - Good understanding of underwriting practices and legislation - Proven track record in developing new business opportunities - Ability to provide professional service to intermediaries and brokers - Strong time management and prioritization skills - Resilience, reliability, and autonomy in work - ANZIIF Cert IV level qualifications or equivalent (preferred)
