Moana New Zealand, the largest Māori owned fisheries company, and Sealord, a prominent seafood company in the Southern Hemisphere, are offering a unique Associate Director Programme. Moana New Zealand plays a vital role in the Māori Fisheries Settlement, ensuring sustainable fisheries management. Sealord, partly owned by Moana, boasts over 60 years of experience in delivering quality seafood globally.

The Opportunity

The Associate Director Programme is aimed at skilled professionals looking to enhance their governance capabilities and become future boardroom leaders. With 3 opportunities available, including 2 with Moana New Zealand and 1 with Sealord, participants will work closely with experienced directors, receive top-notch mentoring, and gain insights into board management over a 24-month period.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a background in the primary industry or related sectors, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate experience working with multiple stakeholders, including iwi and hapū. Knowledge of the seafood industry and Te Ao Māori is preferred. Travel may be required, so flexibility is essential.
