Position Overview

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is seeking a General Manager of Aviation to join their team in Perth. In this executive leadership role, you will be responsible for leading and growing the aviation function to support the delivery of safe and efficient aircraft engineering services and flying operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Growth & Business Delivery: Identify and explore opportunities for expansion within remote and rural Western Australia.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to transform the business and enhance service delivery.
• People & Culture: Drive culture initiatives to promote positive transformation and employee engagement.
• Strategy & Operational Excellence: Implement operational strategies and ensure efficient team structures.
• Executive Leadership: Model values and behaviors as a member of the senior leadership team.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Significant experience in the aviation industry, preferably in a commercial aviation environment.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Business and an AOC or HAAMC qualification.
• A proven track record in executive or senior leadership and operational excellence.
• Success in driving transformational change initiatives to maximize efficiencies.
