About the Role

As the HR Manager at MACVAD, reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will play a crucial role in leading HR operations to attract, engage, and retain top talent while aligning with strategic objectives. This position offers a blend of hands-on HR responsibilities and involvement in organizational strategy, with ample support for professional growth and development. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing recruitment processes for all offices (excluding China)
• Facilitating performance appraisal discussions and driving individual development plans
• Utilizing HRIS systems for data management and reporting
• Supervising the HR Administrator and overseeing payroll functions
• Leading health and safety initiatives to promote staff well-being
• Supporting Employment Relations management
• Contributing to HR strategy and project initiatives

Requirements for the Role

To excel in this position, you should possess:

• A strong HR Generalist background with relevant qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of NZ employment law and HR best practices
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization
• Integrity, sound decision-making abilities, and a compassionate approach
• Exceptional organizational, planning, and attention to detail skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software (Lanteria experience preferred)
