Job Description
As a Peer Support Specialist at Pathways, you will work as part of a team to provide alternative support to individuals experiencing mental illness. You will embody the core values of Peer Support and work with a focus on mutuality, experiential knowledge, self-determination, participation, equity, hope, and well-being.
Requirements
- Completion of Peer Employment Training or Intentional Peer Support Training
- WRAP training completion
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights
- Understanding and commitment to recovery principles
- Lived experience of mental illness
- Knowledge of mental health and NGO sector
- Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Job Details
- Full-time position
- Work schedule: Friday - Monday, 11pm - 7:30am
- Location: Papatoetoe, Auckland
- Salary: $48,630 - $60,528 per annum
