The Role of Principal Adviser

The FMA is seeking a Principal Adviser to join their Financial Advice team in either Auckland or Wellington. This role focuses on supporting fair outcomes for consumers through a risk-based and intelligence-led approach.

As a Principal Adviser, you will be supervising and monitoring the financial advice sector, engaging with various Financial Advice Providers (FAPs) to ensure regulatory compliance. This frontline supervisory role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to work on challenging projects that contribute to regulatory delivery.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing technical expertise in operational risk, compliance, auditing, or financial advice
