Job Title: Programme and Project Controls Lead

The Programme and Project Controls Lead position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced individual to play a crucial role in the mentoring and leadership of programme and project controls. This role involves collaborating closely with Programme/Project Managers/Directors to ensure effective management of scope, time, and cost, along with generating timely and accurate reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, maintain, and enhance a standard set of programme and project controls tools, processes, and templates for accurate tracking and reporting of cost and time.
  • Develop and manage a standard set of programme/project schedules to facilitate visibility of critical path, resource allocation, key milestones, and delivery progress transparency.
  • Implement a standard approach for Earned Value analysis across all capital programmes/projects.
  • Collect, consolidate, analyze, and report on programme and project controls data, including designing reporting dashboards for informed decision-making.
  • Oversee project controls at a portfolio, programme, and project level to support successful outcomes.
  • Lead the implementation of robust scheduling and cost controls through education, training, and day-to-day support.

Requirements:

  • 7 - 10 years of PQE relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in programme and project controls, scheduling, or commercial management of infrastructure delivery.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Extensive experience in managing programme/project controls in a complex environment.
  • Strong project/programme management and planning skills with significant experience in strategic large-scale delivery.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure planning, design, and delivery processes.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Project Management certification is desired.
