Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of talented keepers and manage associated infrastructure
• Promote a science-based approach to husbandry and operations
• Support the development of field conservation skills for the team

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a degree in a relevant field or a Certificate in Zookeeping, along with at least ten years of experience in a Zoo or related field. Demonstrated leadership skills, a commitment to conservation, and knowledge of environmental issues facing New Zealand are essential.

What We Offer

The salary for this position ranges from NZD $70,125 to NZD $94,875 per annum based on experience and skillset. Auckland Zoo provides a range of discounts and partnership benefits to its employees.
