Job Opportunity: Nursery Supervisor

PF Olsen Nursery is currently seeking an experienced supervisor to join their team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the forest nursery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various key areas, including:

  • Implementing best practices in all nursery operations
  • Promoting health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Maintaining machinery and plant equipment
  • Managing business risks such as irrigating, disease control, and plant nutrient management
  • Training and supervising staff
  • Coordinating daily production
  • Ensuring quality assurance

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should:

  • Be physically fit and capable of leading a team
  • Enjoy working outdoors year-round
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude for machinery repairs and maintenance
  • Have hands-on experience in broadacre spraying (an advantage)
  • Be willing to work some weekends for irrigation and dispatch purposes
