Executive Leadership Role with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations)

An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced leader to join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) as the General Manager of Aviation in Perth. As the GM Aviation, you will play a crucial role in growing and managing a strategically important function within the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will lead the Aviation team in ensuring the provision of safe, reliable, and efficient aircraft engineering services and flying operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Growth & Business Delivery: Explore aviation expansion and growth opportunities for Aeromedical and Primary Health Care functions within rural and remote Western Australia.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead business transformation initiatives to enhance service delivery with a focus on continuous improvement.
• People & Culture: Drive culture initiatives for positive transformation and employee engagement across the department and organization.
• Strategy & Operational Excellence: Implement operational strategies and ensure efficient team structures and workforce plans.
• Executive Leadership: Promote and model organizational culture, values, and behaviors as an effective member of the senior leadership team.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• Significant experience in the aviation industry, particularly in a commercial aviation environment.
• A relevant tertiary qualification, preferably in Business, along with an AOC or HAAMC qualification (or previously held).
• A proven track record in executive or senior leadership roles with a focus on operational excellence and transformational change.
• An ability to drive efficiencies and maximize performance within the Aviation function.
